Dvd's nearly all ripp'd

I've pretty much done all my DVD's i have about 10 left which should be completed by this weekend coming. I managed to get a good chucked copied over to the pc at the weekend. It's now becoming bit of a chore to do but i am glad that i'm getting it all done, as it will be so easy afterwards to watch a film in the house

Let The Ripping Commence

My PC came on Friday and i managed to get it built when i got home which was great adn it all went without a hitch. It only took me around 30 minutes to get it all built and then around 1hr to get it all installed. I've also put a small 100GB HDD in with windows on just so that if i ever need to format or replace the main drive then i don't have to move all my films over. I thought this was pretty nifty but apparently its common place so max gottschalk told me when he came round to help me rip my dvd collection.

We got around 100 dvd's ripped over the weekend using both computers which i thought was pretty good. Max was telling me about his new iolite that hes bought, but i wasnt really listening. I'm managing to get 2 dvd's rip'd during the day as i set one of on a morning, which is then done by dinner and i then set another one of at lunch, which depending on the length of the film is sometimes short enough to be completed before i leave which is kind of cool as i get 3 dvd's done during the day. Hopefuly i should get my DVD's done by the end of this month then i can make a start on my Blu ray collection which isn't as big, but naturally takes longer to rip and takes up more room.

New PC

I've just ordered a new Pc i'f been to ebuyer and picked all the components that i need as this way i can get a fairly cheap but speedy pc for around £350 ish.

I'm hopefully going to copy all my dvd's and blu rays on to it and use it as a home server style system. Its got a 2TB hdd so that should be enough for the time been to store all my films on but due to the cost of HDD's been so cheap its easy to get another.

My friend max gottschalk is going to help me rip the dvd's as i feel it will take me quite a while to do all 250 of them and that's just the dvd's. He's bringing his PC over at the weekend and using my 2nd monitor. Hopefully this should help cut down the time it takes to rip the DVD's
